Vigor Shipyards is a leading ship repair and maritime services company operating across the United States, and a quiet giant within Portland’s industrial waterfront. To better promote their expertise and large-scale capabilities, Vigor partnered with Away to document the complex repair of a cruise ship through comprehensive industrial photography and commercial video production. Over the course of a week, our team used handheld capture, timelapse cameras, and drone videography to capture multiple angles of the repair process- from detailed propeller work to the final undocking of the largest cruse ship in North America, as it departed up the Columbia River.
